People from different parts of the world rush to provide humanitarian aid for the Rohingyas sheltered in Bangladesh. as well
A Five member team comes from tanmeia organisation of Kuwait. The organization provides support of about 20 million taka to the different rohingya camps.
On Sunday and Monday, they conducted the support program by themselves. Which includes the construction of shelters for 150 families, these houses are constructed in Camp 8W. In addition, 4 months of sewing training was given to 40 Rohingya women and sewing machines were handed over to them. Camp Incharge of Camp 9 and 10 Mohammad Tanjim was the chief guest on the occasion. After that distributed food aid among 500 families. camp in charge also were present on the distribution program. Later, representatives of the Kuwaiti organization tanmeia inaugurated the water well for the use of 700 families in Camp 2.
Musaab, The members of the delegation said that the Bangladesh government has given shelter to so many Rohingyas at once despite various limitations. It is really another humanitarian example. And their assistance will continue as well as they have planned for the Rohingya as well as the locals.
Mohammad Othman, Team leader of this delegation said that they will work on water supply in the camp along with the mosque repair and they will keep continuing their assistance.
The next day, Tuesday, at Camp 16, the delegation visited the clinic run by Multi Serve International, funded by Tanmeia. Md Zobair, the official of the local partner organization Multi Serve International, MSI, said that for a long time Tanmeia has been helping the Rohingyas and locals, and the delegation said that they will continue this assistance program in the future.
After that, the delegation distributed mosquito nets, winter clothes among 450 families and clothes and toys to 100 orphans in Camp No. 10. Lastly The team leader of the delegation informed about the construction of a hospital for the local people of Cox’s Bazar, which will start working next December.
